Varanasi: A two-day skill exhibition and employment fair was organized at Pandit Deendayal Hastkala Sankul at Bada Lalpur on Wednesday to encourage the youth of the state in skill development and to connect them with new employment opportunities. Around four thousand youths got registered on the first day of employment fair, in which 1100 youths were short-listed for employment.

The Chief Guest of the program was Dr. Mahendra Pandey, Minister for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship. Mahendra Pandey said that 95 companies from 20 sectors participated in the employment fair. During this, he launched the 'Skills on Wheels' Kaushal mobile van in the beauty and wellness sector. During this, he said that such an event will provide opportunity for youth for vocational education and training. The government's intention is everyone's development. Under this, skills are being provided to the youth. This fair will bridge the gap between demand and supply.
