After 7 years, 3 months and 4 days Nirbhaya finally got justice. After today, this matter will be remembered in future. On the night of 16 December 2012, Nirbhaya knew how terrible and painful that night would be for her, that night when she was returning home with her friend,
Nirbhaya's friend had decided to go straight home by auto but The auto driver was not ready to go further. And both had to get off Munirka by auto. At that time a white colored bus was already standing there. One of these boys, Nirbhaya, is called Didi and asked to be called Didi. The boy told both of them to go to Palam village, after which both of them sat on the bus. Just six people were present, including the boy. .

Nirbhaya's friend had told a private channel that he felt like it was not right after walking. Shortly after taking the fare, the boy closed the bus gate. The three men sitting at the front came forward and did rudely before Nirbhaya's friend and then they started fighting with them when they got upset. These people snatched his phone from them.
When Nirbhaya came forward to save her friends, all these people not only assaulted her but also raped her. During this, when Nirbhaya's friend tried to save him, he injured him by hitting an iron rod, after which he became unconscious. The painful sequence that started with Nirbhaya after this is quite difficult to describe in words. These poor people, along with erasing their lust, had inserted an iron rod in Nirbhaya's body and nourished her body.
After this, both of them tried to throw the vehicle on the road, but they survived. The place where both were thrown was in Vasant Vihar area near Mahipalpur in South Delhi. Trains and autos were passing continuously from there but no one helped them. Nirbhaya's friend also appealed to him for help but no one stopped there. Finally, a bike halt seeing him and he first made a call and then a car and a PCR van came there. From there he was taken to the hospital.

The next morning, this news had spread throughout the country with Delhi. Everyone was demanding Nirbhaya's life and his justice. While people took to the streets on the one hand, Nirbhaya was fighting for her life in the hospital.
The then Chief Minister of Delhi Sheila Dixit also visited the hospital to see Nirbhaya. He later told a channel that after seeing Nirbhaya's condition, his hue turned sour. They do not have enough courage to see the victim girl again. After this, Sonia Gandhi also had to go to Safdarjung Hospital to know the condition of the victim girl. Seeing the situation worsening, the then Manmohan Singh government decided to get Nirbhaya admitted to Mount Elizabeth Hospital in Singapore for treatment.
But on the way to Singapore, Nirbhaya suffered a massive heart attack but somehow reached the hospital. The doctors there tried to save him but could not save, and on December 29, Nirbhaya died there at around two and a half in the night.

In this whole case, a Delhi Police officer immediately took action and arrested four of the six accused Ram Singh, Mukesh, Vinay Sharma and Pawan Gupta. On 21 December 2012, the police arrested the fifth accused, a minor, from Delhi and the sixth accused Akshay Thakur from Bihar. The case was heard in the fast track court of Saket. In this case 80 people were made witnesses by the police. Meanwhile, on 11 March 2013, accused bus driver Ram Singh committed suicide in Tihar Jail.
When the court sentenced all the adult convicts to death, one of the accused was considered as a minor and was sentenced to three years of stay in juvenile correctional home. Now the High Court and then the Supreme Court also got the death sentence awarded to the convicts. Even after this, a lot of legal process went on, due to which the matter took more than seven years to reach its end and today Nirbhaya got justice. But if the culprits of the Nirbhaya case had been hanged in 2012, then the crimes against women could have been reduced. The fear of law will probably keep criminals under control. But the question remains the same today, how long girls, women and girls will have to live with such fear that anything can happen to them at any time. And should it have taken so many years for Nirbhaya to get justice?
